Lucky: The Beginning

WOW! I'm really surprised we're reading a book like this for school. What a better way to start off summer then getting raped the last week of school. What kind of person could ever rape someone, that is so disgusting. But she does have good friends that stayed with her all night in the hospital the night of the incident. It tells us a little about her mom and she is CRAZY! She used to be an alcoholic but now is sober but has these flaps. But her mother is going through a rough time with her daughter just being raped, and I don't know how strong the parents marriage is because the parents aren't very affectionate, and Alice's dad will leave for months and go to Spain. He may possibly be cheating on her.
